La battaglia delle alture di Seelow è stata combattuta tra il 16 e il 19 aprile 1945, nel contesto delle operazioni che portarono le truppe sovietiche dell'Armata rossa all'assedio e alla conquista di Berlino.
Questo scontro deve dunque essere inquadrato nella più complessiva offensiva che il comando sovietico avviò nel mese di aprile nel settore Oder-Neisse, che avrebbe dovuto portare le truppe dell'Armata rossa a festeggiare la ricorrenza del 1º maggio in una Berlino occupata.
