La villa Petershall fu costruita nel 1877 come residenza per il produttore tessile David Peters III. al margine del paese di Neviges, vicino alla strada per Elberfeld e di fronte alla sua fabbrica. Dopo una ristrutturazione in ufficio negli anni '90, oggi serve nuovamente esclusivamente a scopi abitativi.
La villa Petershall si trova all'uscita del paese di Neviges in direzione di Wuppertal, all'altezza della rotonda su Elberfelder Straße. La Lucasstraße privata, che si dirama a destra, conduce direttamente alla villa. Al momento della costruzione dell'immobile, l'edificio era la prima costruzione all'inizio di un parco privato del committente che si espandeva verso ovest. Nel 1882 David Peters fece costruire un ulteriore edificio angolato di 90 gradi rispetto al corpo della cucina da usare come rimessa.
