L'area naturale protetta Veerseniederung è situata nel comune di Scheeßel e nei comuni di Brockel e Hemslingen nel comune associato di Bothel nel distretto di Rotenburg.
L'area naturale protetta, identificata con il segno NSG LÜ 299, occupa una superficie di circa 442 ettari. Essa fa per la maggior parte parte della zona di protezione speciale FFH "Wümmeniederung". A sud-est confina direttamente con l'area naturale protetta "Hemslinger Moor" e con l'area di protezione paesaggistica "Deepener Wacholdergebiet" e a ovest con l'area naturale protetta "Wümmeniederung con Rodau, Wiedau e Trochelbach". Parti dell'area di protezione paesaggistica "Deepener Wacholdergebiet" sono state incluse nell'area naturale protetta. L'area è protetta dal 15 agosto 2014. L'autorità locale competente per la protezione della natura è il distretto di Rotenburg.
