Böddenstedt è una frazione del comune di Suderburg nella comunità associata di Suderburg, nel distretto sudoccidentale di Uelzen, Bassa Sassonia. Negli anni 1991 e 2016, Böddenstedt è stata tra i vincitori del concorso federale "Il nostro villaggio ha un futuro".
Böddenstedt si trova tra Amburgo e Hannover, nel mezzo della Heide di Lüneburg. Il fiume Stahlbach, che sfocia nel Hardau presso Holxen, è alimentato dall'Aue di Böddenstedt che nasce a Bahnsen e dal Wehrbach che nasce nel torbiera, attraversa il paese dal margine meridionale da ovest a est, ha gestito il mulino ad acqua fino al 1970 ed è accompagnato da laghetti per la pesca e da aree di prati e pascoli più pianeggianti. Più a nord-ovest si estende l'area naturale protetta di Mönchsbruch, che si estende per 398 ettari.
