L'area protetta di Ziegenberg si trova nel comune di Borchen, nel distretto di Paderborn, nel Nordreno-Westfalia. È l'unica area protetta in questo comune.
La piccola area si estende a sud-ovest del centro di Paderborn e a nord-ovest del centro abitato di Borchen. L'autostrada A 33 corre lungo il bordo orientale dell'area, a ovest si trova la strada statale L 756 e a nord-est la L 755. Il Lohne, un affluente destro dell'Alme, scorre attraverso la parte sud-ovest dell'area. A nord, si unisce direttamente l'area protetta di Ziegenberg, che copre circa 81 ettari, nel territorio della città di Paderborn. Le due aree protette nel loro insieme corrispondono approssimativamente all'area FFH di Ziegenberg.
