Alcalá de Henares è un comune spagnolo di 197.562 abitanti situato nella comunità autonoma di Madrid. È nota per aver ospitato una famosa università, trasferita a Madrid nel 1836, e per essere stata la città dove è morto e dove sono venerate le spoglie mortali di San Diego d'Alcalà , oltre ad essere stata la città natale di Caterina d'Aragona , Ferdinando I d'Asburgo , Miguel de Cervantes e di Manuel Azaña Díaz .
