Albacete è un comune spagnolo, capoluogo della provincia omonima, situato nella comunità autonoma di Castiglia-La Mancia. Nella sua ampia estensione territoriale scorre lo Júcar.
La sua posizione strategica a mezza strada tra Madrid e la costa del Levante ne fa un importante nodo di comunicazione, con autostrade verso Madrid, Valencia-Alicante e Murcia , e ottime comunicazioni ferroviarie attraverso la stazione di Albacete-Los Llanos. Inoltre, da pochi anni, treni ad alta velocità la mettono in comunicazione con Cuenca, Madrid, Valencia, Alicante e Murcia.
