La Zarza è un comune spagnolo appartenente alla provincia di Badajoz. Si trova a sud di Mérida. Probabilmente il nome della località è testimonianza dei numerosi arbusti di rami spinosi e frutti della famiglia delle rosacee, le rovi, situati sulle rive di fiumi e ruscelli vicini al comune.
