Ibiza è un comune spagnolo di 48.684 abitanti situato nella comunità autonoma delle Isole Baleari. Capoluogo dell'isola omonima e sede vescovile, è una bianca cittadina situata sui fianchi di una collina.
L'economia è essenzialmente incentrata sul turismo che, seppur fiorente, porta con sé anche diversi problemi legati ad uno sfruttamento forse esasperato, con conseguente sovraffollamento, speculazioni edilizie, danni all'ambiente, ed anche un mancato sviluppo di altre possibili attività fonti di reddito.
