Ribemont è un comune francese di 2.042 abitanti situato nel dipartimento dell'Aisne della regione dell'Alta Francia.Il capo di Francia ricorda che l'antica signoria fu annessa ai domini della Corona nel 1399, venduta al Re di Francia da Florence de Ribemont, sposa di Guy IX de Moy.Le figure nel campo dello scudo vanno lette come un rebus del nome del paese che nel 1696 si scriveva Riblemont: il sole è chiamato Ri nell'astronomia cinese; i due covoni, oltre a riferirsi alla coltivazione dei cereali, richiamano il suono Blé ; il monte completa l'insieme per formare il nome Riblemont.
