Falaise è un comune francese di 8.605 abitanti situato nel dipartimento del Calvados nella regione della Normandia.
Falaise ha dato i natali a Guglielmo il Conquistatore, primo re normanno d'Inghilterra. Il Castello di Falaise , che sovrasta la città da un'altura, fu formalmente la sede dei Duchi di Normandia. Inoltre, all'interno del castello nel dicembre del 1174 fu firmato il Trattato di Falaise tra Guglielmo I, re di Scozia, e il re d'Inghilterra Enrico II Plantageneto.
