Lo Champagne è la regione vinicola più settentrionale della Francia ed è nota per i suoi vini spumanti che possono portare il nome "champagne", unico al mondo. Inoltre, vengono prodotti anche alcuni vini bianchi e rossi non spumanti sotto l'AOC "Coteaux Champenois".
La regione si trova nel nord-est della Francia ed è la zona più settentrionale adatta alla viticoltura nel paese. Il fiume Marna, un affluente della Senna, scorre attraverso l'area. La maggior parte dei vigneti si trova nel dipartimento della Marna, ma ci sono anche vigne nell'Aisne e nell'Aube che appartengono alla regione.
