Su una superficie di 1.000 m², il Museo espone una ventina di macchine diverse utilizzate per la lavorazione delle pelli. Il tutto è completato da un video e da vecchie foto che mostrano il lavoro del conciatore, dalla pelle grezza al cuoio finito. Il Museo offre anche un laboratorio di pelletteria, dove i visitatori possono realizzare un oggetto in pelle da portare a casa come ricordo.
Una novità del Musée de la Tannerie è il Petit Musée de l'École. Si tratta della ricostruzione di un'aula scolastica, con oggetti, mobili e documenti della vecchia scuola di Bort les Orgues. L'esposizione suscita emozioni e persino nostalgia, con banchi, calamai, odore di cera, carte geografiche, frasi morali, testi scolastici? Un'altra parte presenta le grandi figure che hanno forgiato la scuola della Repubblica (Jules Ferry, Jean Jaurès).
