Scoprite questa bastide del XIII secolo attraverso un tour che parte dalla sala del mercato. Seguite la rue de l'Escaraillette, una strada tipica del Medioevo che veniva chiamata "venelle". Prendetevi del tempo in Place François Dupaya per godervi la vista sulla Chalosse e sul Lande. Alle vostre spalle si apre il cancello del giardino Payot. Passate poi davanti alla fontana dei cento passi (150 gradini da scendere con un sorriso) e godetevi la freschezza del boschetto di bambù e del lavatoio restaurato.
Durante la visita, capirete cos'è una bastide: una pianta molto regolare, strade che si intersecano ad angolo retto, isolotti, mirandes, ecc. Chiedete l'itinerario del tour all'Ufficio del Turismo o al municipio. Non dimenticate di visitare il Museo di Chalosse, una vera e propria testimonianza della mezzadria a Chalosse, e la chiesa del XII secolo classificata come Monumento Storico. Il vantaggio: possibilità di fare picnic.
