Dal XV al XIX secolo, le acque di Soultz-les-Bains erano un luogo di cura molto popolare per gli abitanti di Strasburgo. Dopo l'incendio del 1913, l'antica edicola poligonale era molto deteriorata e i suoi resti furono completamente demoliti nel 1970.
Il proprietario del Sulzbad ha fatto costruire una cappella dedicata a Sant'Amand all'ingresso meridionale del centro termale, in linea con la secolare tradizione di venerazione di Sant'Amand. La decorazione interna, che comprende affreschi e vetrate molto originali, è stata realizzata dal pittore Roland Perret, affreschista di Molsheim.
Il 26 giugno 1994, la cappella è stata benedetta dal reverendo padre Eugène Hugel, allora parroco di Soultz-les-Bains.
La cappella si trova sul terreno privato del sito termale.
