Emergente dalla foresta a 664 metri di altezza, la roccia di arenaria rosa è un sito unico nel suo genere. Luogo di culto celtico, la roccia era sormontata in epoca medievale da un potente castello, sede della leggendaria contea di Dabo. Fu distrutto nel 1690 per ordine di Luigi XIV, quando la contea divenne parte della Francia. L'attuale cappella neoromanica è dedicata a Papa Leone IX, originario della regione. Il Rocher de Dabo offre una magnifica vista sulla vasta foresta dei Vosgi e sull'altopiano della Lorena. La roccia è visibile tutto l'anno, ma l'accesso alla piattaforma è limitato in inverno. Visitabile gratuitamente da novembre a marzo. Dal 29 marzo al 26 ottobre, l'accesso alla Roccia e alla Cappella è a pagamento. Visite guidate per gruppi su prenotazione presso l'Ufficio del Turismo.
