La Petite e la Grande Beune sono affluenti della Vézère. Contengono ambienti rari e fragili come torbiere e canneti e ospitano diverse specie protette
Lungo il percorso si trovano anche numerosi siti turistici rinomati, come il Castello di Puymartin, Commarque e Laussel, il rifugio di Cap Blanc e le grotte di Combarelles, Fond de Gaume e Bernifal.
