La A140 è una strada di "classe A" a Norfolk e Suffolk, nell'Est dell'Inghilterra, che segue in parte il percorso della strada romana Pye. Corre dall'A14 vicino a Needham Market fino all'A149 a sud di Cromer. Ha uno status primario per l'intera lunghezza del suo percorso. È lunga circa 56 miglia.
La strada inizia come una carreggiata doppia dall'uscita 51 con la strada A14; poi viaggia a nord fino al suo incrocio con l'A1120. Continua poi nella campagna del Suffolk fornendo accesso ai villaggi di Little Stonham, Mendlesham e Mendlesham Green. Attraversa Brockford Street, Thwaite, Stoke Ash, Thornham Parva, Yaxley e Brome, dove incontra il suo incrocio con la B1077. Un miglio dopo raggiunge una rotonda con l'A143 - dove entra nel Norfolk e diventa carreggiata doppia - e una seconda all'esterno di Scole la collega all'A1066. Questo tratto di strada bypassa Scole a est di Diss.
