Il comune si trova tra la sponda occidentale del Ramo Comasco del Lago di Como e le pendici del Monte Costone. Confina a ovest con Argegno e Pigra , a nord con Laino e Tremezzina , a est con Sala Comacina ed a sud con Lezzeno .
