Iglesias è un comune italiano di 25 188 abitanti della provincia del Sud Sardegna. Si trova nella Sardegna sud-occidentale, nella regione dell'Iglesiente, di cui è il principale centro abitato e a cui dà il nome. Nei secoli della dominazione spagnola fu una delle città regie della Sardegna. È sede vescovile , erede storica dell'antica diocesi di Sulcis.
