Il Ponte Santa Trìnita è il ponte ad arco ellittico più antico del mondo, le tre ellissi appiattite conferiscono alla struttura il suo famoso aspetto elegante. Il ponte fu costruito dall'architetto fiorentino Bartolomeo Ammanati dal 1567 al 1569. L'8 agosto 1944 il ponte fu distrutto dalle truppe tedesche in ritirata, ma nel 1958 fu ricostruito con pietre originali prelevate dall'Arno e dalla cava originale.
