La diocesi di Acqui è una sede della Chiesa cattolica in Italia suffraganea dell'arcidiocesi di Torino appartenente alla regione ecclesiastica Piemonte. Nel 2015 contava 148.500 battezzati su 156.100 abitanti. È retta dal vescovo Luigi Testore.
Il territorio della diocesi si estende per 1.683 km², di cui circa il 70% in Piemonte e il restante circa 30% in Liguria. A livello provinciale la suddivisione è la seguente: provincia di Alessandria circa 47%, provincia di Savona il 23%, provincia di Asti circa 22%, città metropolitana di Genova circa il 7% e provincia di Cuneo meno dell'1%. Comprende la città di Acqui Terme e i seguenti comuni:
