Il museo diocesano tridentino è ospitato nelle sale di Palazzo Pretorio, prima residenza vescovile eretta accanto al duomo di Trento, al centro della città. Nelle sue sale espone un ricco patrimonio di arte e cultura che spazia dall'XI al XIX secolo, proveniente dalle chiese del territorio trentino. Il percorso in museo è arricchito da un suggestivo passaggio che permette di osservare dall'alto la vicina cattedrale e dalla possibilità di vistare lo spazio archeologico di Porta Veronensis.
