La Repubblica Napoletana, anche detta Repubblica Napolitana e Repubblica Partenopea, fu una repubblica proclamata a Napoli nel 1799, ed esistita per alcuni mesi sull'onda della Prima campagna d'Italia delle truppe della Prima repubblica francese dopo la Rivoluzione francese.
Allo scoppiare della rivoluzione francese nel 1789 non ci sono immediate ripercussioni a Napoli; è solo dopo la caduta della monarchia francese e la morte per ghigliottina dei reali di Francia che la politica del Re di Napoli e Sicilia Ferdinando IV e della sua consorte Maria Carolina d'Asburgo-Lorena comincia ad avere un chiaro carattere antifrancese e antigiacobino. Il Regno di Napoli aderisce alla I coalizione antifrancese e cominciano nel mentre le prime, seppur blande, repressioni sul fronte interno contro le personalità sospettate di "simpatie" giacobine.
