L'arcidiocesi di Lecce è una sede metropolitana della Chiesa cattolica in Italia appartenente alla regione ecclesiastica Puglia. Nel 2016 contava 295.280 battezzati su 296.580 abitanti. È retta dall'arcivescovo Michele Seccia.
La tradizione, non anteriore alla seconda metà del Cinquecento, fa risalire la fondazione della diocesi di Lecce ai tempi apostolici: nel I secolo Giusto di Corinto avrebbe predicato la fede cristiana nella città salentina convertendo Oronzo, che sarebbe poi stato consacrato vescovo a Corinto dall'apostolo Paolo, che gli avrebbe affiancato come coadiutore e successore il nipote Fortunato.
