La Chiesa dell'Angelo Custode fu aperta al pubblico nel 1701.
Negli anni successivi la congregazione decise di costruire una chiesa più grande sopra quella esistente , così gli ambienti originari furono trasformati in cripta.
L' edificio si sviluppa su due livelli, chiusi inferiormente da un cancello delimitato da due scale che conducono al vano superiore. C'è un grande ambiente con copertura a volta: la vecchia chiesa e l'attuale cripta della confraternita. La chiesa ha una struttura architettonica a navata unica, con cinque altari. All'ingresso si trova un coro ligneo attico in stile misto tra rococò e neoclassico.
