Descrizione
Alto sopra il paese di Clervaux, nel cuore delle Ardenne, si erge un castello del XV secolo, una chiesa romanica e anche il grande monastero benedettino di Saint-Maurice e Saint-Maur.
Il magnifico castello, costruito in alto sulla roccia, si innalza sopra le abitazioni del villaggio costruite a forma di ferro di cavallo.
La vista pittoresca e la posizione naturale della città nella valle del fiume Clerve l'hanno resa un luogo molto visitato.
Il meraviglioso castello, distrutto durante la Seconda Guerra Mondiale, è stato completamente restaurato ed è oggi un venerabile testimone di un passato glorioso.
La Famiglia dell'Umanità
Nel castello si organizzano interessanti esposizioni. Tra queste c'è la straordinaria collezione di fotografie documentarie artistiche di Edward Steichen "La Famiglia dell'Umanità".
