La Torre del Mostro di Sint-Lievens è una torre alta 62 metri, conosciuta anche come 'la torre grassa' nel linguaggio popolare degli abitanti di Zierikzee. Questa torre assomiglia come due gocce d'acqua alla Torre di Sint-Rombouts a Malines.
Non è un caso, poiché il probabile progettista della torre era il maestro d'opera malinese Andries Keldermans. Caratteristico dello stile della famiglia Keldermans sono i ricchi decori della torre. Poiché il cantiere non doveva causare danni alla chiesa, la torre non fu costruita ancorata alla chiesa. La torre è stata eretta con alcuni milioni di mattoni. Provengono, tra l'altro, dalla regione di Dordrecht, Rotterdam e Gouda. L'esterno della torre è stato rivestito con una costosa pietra naturale. I piccoli blocchi bianchi di calcare arenoso provengono dalla zona a nord e a est di Bruxelles. Questa pietra è chiamata ardesia bianca del Brabante.
