Twello è un paese con circa 13.675 abitanti nel comune di Voorst, nella provincia olandese di Gelderland. Il paese si trova in un ambiente rurale tra le città di Deventer e Apeldoorn, vicino al fiume IJssel. Il municipio del comune di Voorst si trova a Twello. Nel 14° secolo si chiamava Twenlo, ma ci sono anche altre forme come; Twelle, Twelloe, Twelloo, Twenle, Twenlo e Twenloe. Ogni volta si possono riconoscere due parole ovvero "due" e "loo", che significano qualcosa come due boschi o bosco doppio.
