Il faro alla Maasvlakte, ufficialmente chiamato Kustlicht Maasvlakte, è stato progettato da W. Colenbrander e costruito nel 1974. La torre ha un'altezza di 62 metri ed è quindi il faro più alto dei Paesi Bassi. Secondo l'Associazione Olandese dei Fari, è anche l'ultimo faro costruito nei Paesi Bassi. La torre, situata sul lato occidentale della Maasvlakte, segnava l'ingresso della Nuova Waterweg e dell'area circostante Europoort. Con l'arrivo di questa torre, è venuta meno la funzione dei due fari a Hoek van Holland. La luce è stata spenta l'8 ottobre 2008. Fino al 18 ottobre 2018, la torre è rimasta in uso come torre radar e nel 2019 è stata rimossa l'installazione radar. A causa della costruzione della Seconda Maasvlakte, il faro non si trova più direttamente sulla costa.
