L'hotel Welgelegen a Harich vicino a Balk è una delle più belle fattorie-hotel della Friesland. L'hotel si trova in una posizione unica tra i laghi e le foreste frisone e rende onore al suo nome. La fattoria signorile Hotel Welgelegen, risalente al 1885, è un luogo di soggiorno molto caratteristico. In particolare, la sua ex abitazione del fattore, con tra l'altro il salotto e il ristorante, emana l'aria nobile di un tempo. Nelle stalle ora si trovano le camere e una accogliente sala per la colazione. L'ex "parte" è stata trasformata in una grande sala per feste e riunioni. La sala appare autentica grazie all'uso di legno massello chiaro.
