La Zuiderheide è un'area di brughiera tra Laren e Hilversum. L'area si estende dal Sint Janskerkhof verso la valle dell'Eem. Questa zona è importante dal punto di vista archeologico e geologico. L'area è gestita dalla Goois Natuurreservaat.
I Sette Colletti è il nome dei tumuli funerari di circa quattromila anni fa. I tumuli si estendono sulla Zuiderheide e sulla adiacente Westerheide.
Nella parte meridionale della Zuiderheide si trovano alcuni stagni di brughiera che in passato erano utilizzati per lavare le greggi allora presenti, da qui il nome Laarder Wasmeer. Qui la brughiera confina anche con l'Anna's Hoeve, un progetto di occupazione degli anni '30 del XX secolo, nel territorio del comune di Hilversum.
