Kielce è una grande città polacca di 201.815 abitanti, capoluogo del voivodato della Santacroce . È un importante centro commerciale ed è sede della Fiera di Kielce, che occupa il secondo posto nella classifica delle mostre e dei mercati più frequentati in Polonia.
È inoltre sede della storica Università Jan Kochanowski, del Politecnico della Santacroce e del Museo nazionale di Kielce.
