La contea di Wood in inglese Wood County è una contea dello Stato del Texas, negli Stati Uniti. La popolazione al censimento del 2010 era di 41 964 abitanti. Il capoluogo di contea è Quitman. Il nome della contea deriva da George Tyler Wood, governatore del Texas dal 1847 al 1849.
Secondo l'Ufficio del censimento degli Stati Uniti d'America la contea ha un'area totale di 696 miglia quadrate , di cui 645 miglia quadrate sono terra, mentre 50 miglia quadrate sono costituiti dall'acqua.
