La contea di Arlington è una contea e una città dello stato della Virginia, negli Stati Uniti d'America. Si trova all'interno dell'area metropolitana di Washington, sull'altra sponda del fiume Potomac rispetto alla capitale. La contea ha la particolarità di non essere suddivisa in comuni.
La popolazione al censimento del 2010 era di 207 627 abitanti. Venne creata nel 1801, come suddivisione del distretto di Columbia, con il nome di contea di Alexandria. Nel 1846 ritornò allo stato della Virginia su decisione del Congresso, mentre nel 1920 passò al nome attuale per evitare confusioni con l'adiacente città di Alexandria.
