Stolzalpe is een gemeente in de Oostenrijkse deelstaat Stiermarken, en maakt deel uit van het district Murau.
Stolzalpe telt 493 inwoners.
Stolzalpe werd voor het eerst omstreeks 1080, in documenten vermeld.
De feodaliteit eindigde in 1848. De gemeente werd twee jaar later volledig autonoom.
Onder impuls van de arts Friedrich Kraus werd er rond 1890 een revalidatiecentrum voor tuberculosepatiënten opgericht.
Na de annexatie van Oostenrijk in 1938 kwam de ze in de “Reichsgau Steiermark” . Tussen 1945 en 1955 was Stolzalpe deel van de Britse bezettingszone in Oostenrijk.
