De Pasterze is de langste gletsjer van Oostenrijk en de Oostelijke Alpen. Hij strekt zich uit van de 3453 meter hoge Johannisberg tot 2100 meter boven zeeniveau en heeft een lengte van ongeveer 8,4 kilometer. De gletsjer ligt in het Hohe Tauerngebergte in Karinthië, direct onder de Grossglockner, de hoogste berg van Oostenrijk. De Pasterze is bereikbaar via de Grossglockner Hochalpenstraße en een kabelbaan.
