De Grote Kinigat is, na de Hohe Warte, de Kellerspitzen en de Hochweißstein, met 2689 m ü. A. de vierde hoogste berg van de Karnische hoofdkam en ligt op de grens tussen Oost-Tirol en de Italiaanse provincie Belluno. De eerste beklimming vond plaats op 21 juli 1898 door Anton Victorin uit Sillian met Peter Tassenbacher, die in hetzelfde traject de Königswand bedwongen.
