Trebinje is de meest zuidelijke stad van Bosnië en Herzegovina en ligt in Republika Srpska, een van de twee entiteiten van Bosnië en Herzegovina. De stad is gelegen aan de rivier Trebišnjica, die door middel van een uit het Ottomaanse tijdperk stammende brug over te steken is. Trebinje is het administratieve centrum van de regio Trebinje.
