Het Gentse stadhuis is een gebouw met vele gezichten. De vlammende gotiek van de gevel in de Hoogpoort contrasteert fel met de eerder sobere renaissance van die aan de Botermarkt. Ook binnenin maakt u kennis met heel wat verschillende stijlen: de Arsenaalzaal met het houten gewelf, de prachtige Trouwkapel met de graven van Vlaanderen vereeuwigd in zes brandglasramen, de Pacificatiezaal met haar doolhof in witte en zwarte tegels, symbool voor de zoektocht naar rechtvaardigheid en geluk, enzovoort.
Het stadhuis is enkel te bezoeken onder begeleiding van een gids.
