U daalt vervolgens de helling van Yvoir. De helling werd geclassificeerd als een 3e categorie tijdens de Tour de France van 1995, toen het peloton passeerde met als uiteindelijke winnaar van deze etappe die Charleroi met Luik verbond, Johan Bruyneel. Hij zou trouwens de gele trui dragen, voordat hij deze de volgende dag verloor na de tijdrit die door Miguel Indurain werd gewonnen. Die zijn 5e Tour binnenhaalde.
