Het woud van Conques-Sainte-Cécile bestaat voor 80% uit loofbomen, waarvan 65% beuk en 35% eik. De overige 20% van de oppervlakte worden ingenomen door een grote verscheidenheid aan naaldbomen, zoals douglasspar, lork, vancouverden, zilverspar, grove den, maar vooral fijnspar. Om de twaalf jaar wordt het woud gedund om de zieke en zwakke bomen te verwijderen en de fraaiste exemplaren alle groeikansen te geven.
