Attert is een plaats en gemeente aan de gelijknamige rivier in de Provincie Luxemburg in België. De gemeente telt ruim 5.000 inwoners.De plaats ligt aan de N4, die hier onderdeel is van de Voie de la Liberté: de route die de geallieerden volgden in hun opmars om de Tweede Wereldoorlog winnend te beëindigen.De gemeente ligt in het Luxemburgse taalgebied. Verscheidene straatnamen zijn tweetalig. Zo heet de Voie de la Liberté ook Fräiheetswee.
