Hof van Steelant is één van de oudste en interessantste hofsteden van Loppem. Op deze hofplaats woonden reeds in de 13de eeuw de oudst gekende heren van Loppem, de van Steelants. Van dit leengoed, dat in de 15de en 16de eeuw in het bezit was van de Brugse heren van Gruuthuuse, rest alleen nog het neerhof met boerenhuis, stalling en schuur.
