Aan de ijzeren poort kijken we naar de site van het kasteel d’Aspremont-Lynden. In de 1ste thriller Hou van mij speelt het kasteel en vooral de vergeetput een cruciale rol. Zie je de slotgracht naast het kasteel? In Vergeet mij niet gaan Saskia en haar man Wim eten in het Poortgebouw. Daar wordt zij geconfronteerd met mensen uit haar verleden die haar vernederd hebben. Op een onbewaakt moment neemt zij wraak door hun zoontje in de slotgracht te duwen. Het kereltje verdrinkt.
