Verder verschijnt aan de horizon het Britse herdenkingsmonument van Ploegsteert, met zijn ronde tempel en zijn militaire begraafplaatsen van het Commonwealth. Zij brengen hulde aan de Britse soldaten die sneuvelden in deze streek. Op de muren zijn 11.447 namen van soldaten en officieren gegraveerd die nooit een graf kregen. Het is een emotionele tocht die u niet onverschillig zal laten.
