Het kasteel en de tuinen
Het huidige kasteel, dat sinds de 14de eeuw in handen is van de prinsen de Ligne, werd na de brand van 1900 gedeeltelijk heropgebouwd op zijn middeleeuws grondvlak met de vier hoektorens en de slotgrachten.
De schitterende tuinen uit de 18de eeuw bestaan hoofdzakelijk uit een grote rechthoek (20 ha) met in het midden het Neptunusmeer en zijdelings een rij bosjes, uit groene galerijen, waterpartijen en een groentetuin.
Ze worden voortgezet door een lange beukenlaan (4 km) – la Grande Avenue – die wordt onderbroken door de Héronnièrevijver en aangeklampt door het Rond Bois.
