In de 17e eeuw werd Pellenberg een baronie. In 1781 werd de steenweg tussen Leuven en Diest voltooid, die ook door Lubbeek liep en waarheen de parochie Sint-Bernard zou ontstaan. Bij de Tiendaagse Veldtocht werd ook gevochten in Lubbeek en in Pellenberg werd uiteindelijk het wapenstilstandsverdrag getekend dat een einde maakte aan deze veldtocht.
