Guigoven is een kerkdorp dat deel uitmaakt van de Belgische gemeente Kortessem. Het is gelegen in de streek Haspengouw. Guigoven was tot 1977 een zelfstandige gemeente met 765 inwoners.
Guigoven werd voor het eerst vermeld in 980 als Guodenghoven. Het achtervoegsel -hoven duidt op Frankische oorsprong. De naam zou betekenen: Hoeve van Godo.
