Mal is een dorp in de Belgische provincie Limburg en een deelgemeente van Tongeren. De deelgemeente heeft een oppervlakte van 3,99 km² en telde 1129 inwoners in 2017. Mal was tot 1977 een zelfstandige gemeente met 800 inwoners in Haspengouw, aan de Jeker.
Mal werd voor het eerst schriftelijk vermeld in 1111 als Malla, hetgeen verwijst naar een vergader- of dingplaats.
